Department

Matan Harel received his PhD in Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Dr. Harel works on probability theory in discrete systems and statistical physics, with a broad interest in systems that undergo phase transitions. His research focuses on lattice models—such as the Ising, random-cluster, and loop-O(n) models—using tools from probability, analysis, and exactly solvable systems to understand their critical behavior.
