Dean’s List Spring 2020
Congratulations to our 1400+ students for their achievement!
Honors in the Discipline:
The College of Science encourages undergraduate students to participate in the research community at Northeastern by working with a faculty mentor on independent research. Undergraduate students can earn honors distinction in their discipline on their transcripts by successfully completing a COS honors research project. Students need not be members of the university-wide Honors Program to receive Honors in the Discipline.
Skavenski Award for Graduating Seniors:
Dr. Alexander Skavenski was a neuroscientist and professor of Psychology at Northeastern University. The Skavenski Award was created in his memory to honor his contributions to the BNS program and the University. This prestigious award recognizes students with not only outstanding academic achievements in the classroom, but also acknowledges student leadership and excellence in laboratory research, cornerstones of the BNS program. Each year since 1998, the BNS program recognizes the achievements of a graduating senior with this award.
The Zelevinsky Research Instructorship:
The Andrei Zelevinsky Research Instructorship is named in Professor Andrei Zelevinsky’s memory and honors his tremendous contributions to the field of mathematics by supporting promising young mathematics researchers at the start of their careers.
