The National Science Foundation has awarded a three year grant to Professor Alina Marian to fund her research as PI on the project “Moduli Theory of Sheaves Over Low-Dimensional Varieties”, starting in September 2016. The award is from the Division of Mathematical Sciences, and is a continuation of previous NSF support for Professor Marian’s research.

Side-channel attacks are an emerging threat to embedded systems. As a result, mathematics professor Aidong (Adam) Ding and colleagues are creating a tool that automatically corrects for side-channel weaknesses.

The Army Research Office has awarded a three year Grant to Professor Gabor Lippner to fund his research as a co-PI on the project “Latent geometry of random simplicial complexes”, starting in July 2016.
