The National Science Foundation has awarded a three year continuing Grant to Professor Adam Ding to fund his research as a co-PI on the project “TWC: Medium: Automating Countermeasures and Security Evaluation Against Software Side-channel Attacks”, starting in June 2016. Professor Ding’s collaborators on the project are Professor Yunsi Fei (PI, ECE) and Professor Thomas Wahl (co-PI, CCIS). The project aims to build an automation framework for information leakage analysis, multi-level countermeasure application, and formal security evaluation against software side-channel attacks.  This work will be a continuation of their collaboration on statistical evaluation of side-channel attacks, which was supported by their prior NSF grant.
