About Sofía Metzler Concepción
I am a current Master’s student in the Environmental Science and Policy program. My interests lie in utilizing science for effective policy and management of natural environments and systems. Specifically, I am interested in using structured decision-making, nature-based solutions, and indigenous stewardship for habitat conservation and restoration.
I hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia focused on wildlife science and management, biology, and sustainability. After graduation, I was selected as a RAY Conservation Fellow at Sustainable Ocean Alliance.
