Hello, my name is Rachel Miramontes. I am a master’s student in the Environmental Science and Policy Program. I have my bachelor’s in biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. During my time at UNR, I worked in two Lake Tahoe bug conservation labs. I was also in a leadership position for four summers, working as a lifeguard in Las Vegas.
I am interested in marine conservation through outreach. Mainly, I want to focus on bringing awareness about the changing marine ecosystem due to climate change effects and wind farm installation.
