About Kelley Danahy

Dr. Kelley E. Danahy obtained a B.A. in chemistry from Boston University, after which she moved across the river to pursue a PhD at MIT with Professors Jeffrey Van Humbeck and Tim Jamison. Her research focused on reaction development and utilizing continuous flow chemistry to synthesize medicinally relevant molecules. Following a few years as an instructor at MIT and a laboratory supervisor at Brandeis University, Dr. Danahy joined Northeastern in the fall of 2022. She has a passion for optimizing curriculum development, aiming to help students hone their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through their chemistry courses.
