About Katie Goulder

Katie is a Master’s student in the Environmental Science & Policy Program. She graduated from Kenyon College in 2016 with a BA in Biology and minors in Environmental Science and Anthropology. Throughout her professional career, she has worked with sea turtles up and down the east coast. During the summer nesting seasons, she has done research on nesting females and hatchlings in South Carolina and Florida and worked in rescue and rehabilitation of cold-stunned juveniles and sub-adults at the New England Aquarium during the winter months. Katie continued to work in sea turtle and marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation for 2 years before seeking out experience monitoring and restoring wetlands to better understand conservation from a wider, habitat-focused perspective. At Northeastern, Katie is interested in learning how to develop more effective conservation strategies that preserve and restore vulnerable habitats and protect endangered species.
