While just about any living thing in the ocean fascinates me, I am primarily interested in marine mammal behavior. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology at Grand Valley State University in my home state of Michigan. Over the years, I have studied Barrier Island Ecology and marine mammal species of the Gulf of Mexico as a student at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in Mississippi, interned with the Research Department at Dolphin Research Center in the Florida Keys, and worked as a Marine Mammal Technician studying endangered Cook Inlet beluga whales in Alaska. I am eager to see where the completion of my master’s degree at Northeastern University takes me!
