About Hannah Appiah-Madson

Hannah Appiah-Madson received her a BA in Environmental Studies: Conservation Biology from Middlebury College, VT. She received her MS in Ecology/Evolutionary Biology from Kent State University, OH where she studied at how non-selective evolutionary forces effect populations of Lobelia siphilitica (great blue Lobelia). Appiah-Madson comes to Northeastern from the University of Notre Dame’s Environmental Research Center where she worked on the Great Salt Lake Ecosystem Program. Here at Northeastern she manages the Ocean Genome Legacy Center’s marine DNA collection, which is dedicated to preserving the threatened biological diversity of the sea.
