About Anik Grearson

I grew up in Toronto, ON Canada. Growing up with family ties in Bermuda, where I learned to scuba dive, I have always loved being by the ocean! I completed my undergraduate studies in molecular biology and genetics at McMaster University, during which I conducted research on sea urchin larval development for my thesis. I then worked as a cephalopod aquarist in Woods Hole MA, where I cultured and conducted research on cuttlefish, squid, and octopuses. I recently conducted research on differential gene expression analysis in sea urchin embryos at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences. I look forward to finding ways to merge my passion for marine sciences with my background in molecular biology!
