About Alondra Caro-Ruiz

Alondra is a Puerto Rican Master’s Student in Northeastern University’s College of Science, currently pursuing a degree in Marine Biology. She earned her B.S. in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico in 2023. While at UPR, Alondra spent 2 years assisting with the mark-recapture of three Puerto Rican Anolis species as a part of Anna Thonis’ doctoral dissertation research on the competition and demography of anoles. Field assistant responsibilities included anole capture, identification, measurement, tagging, and the collection of location data. Her interests and career goals with this Master’s degree are to work in conservation and rehabilitation for marine mammal species, specifically Cetaceans. Alondra is excited to be part of the 44th Three Seas Cohort and is looking forward to gaining the new learning, field, and research experiences that the Three Seas Program has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys reading fantasy books, outdoor activities, and baking desserts.
