Obtaining up to 18 months of professional experience related to their physics major prior to graduation helps to set Northeastern students apart. Beginning in sophomore year, with assistance from the physics co-op advisor, students become prepared to enter the world of professional work and have the opportunity to apply for a variety of positions including on and off campus research internships.
The students value their experiences in a variety of work settings ranging from research and technical positions in corporations to research assistantships in cutting edge labs on campus or abroad. Co-op provides a great opportunity to strengthen technical and professional behavior skills. Visit the College of Science website to find out more about what co-op has to offer and the Fellowships and Awards page for support of research co-op internships.
