Recently, Northeastern hosted some 100 high school students from around the country as part of the American Junior Academy of Science annual conference held in Boston to meet faculty, tour labs, visit research facilities, and see science in action. Prof. Lisa Feldman Barrett kicked off the day’s events with a lecture entitled, “Emotions Inside Out: From Cartoon Neuroscience to the Predictive Brain.” The students then dispersed across the campus to meet a number a faculty members and explore their labs, which included the lab of Prof. Peter Bex.
