Professor Petrov Develops “Star Trek” Illusion

Dr. Yury Petrov and graduate student Jiehui Qian were featured on the website NewScientist. They created a new visual illusion, called the Star Trek illusion, in which white dots and their shadows appear to change in contrast, grow and shrink in size and vary in depth.
