Prof. Craig Ferris joins as a mentor for NIH’s Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) Initiative, which aims to encourage individuals from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to enter and remain in biomedical research careers. Prof. Ferris, who directs Northeastern’s Center for Translational Neuro-Imaging (CTNI), plans to offer remote neuro-imaging experiments for students at Morgan State University. By providing the opportunity to participate in research to students with limited access to resources, Prof. Ferris hopes to inspire a new generation of biomedical scientists.
