A recent edition of News@Northeastern, the University’s daily newsletter, featured an article about Professor Iris Berent’s research into the links between language and motor systems.

Prof. Berent’s findings support previous research which indicates that there is indeed a connection between language and motor systems, but suggest that this connection is different than previously believed, and that motor action is a consequence, rather than a cause, of linguistic action.
