Three faculty members in the College of Science have been named to Thomson Reuters’ “Highly Cited Researchers 2014” list.
Albert-Laszlo Barabasi of Physics, Andrei Zelevinsky of Mathematics, and Alexandros Makriyannis of Chemistry and Chemical Biology are all on this year’s list.
The list highlights researchers from the sciences and social sciences and contains articles and reviews in journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection during the 11-year period of 2002 to 2012.
“Highly cited papers” rank in the top one percent by citations for field and year indexed in the Web of Science.
In all, there are six Northeastern faculty members on this list. The others are Thomas Webster of Materials Science, and Manoor Amiji and Vladimir Torchilin of Pharmacology and Toxicology.
