First Annual Graduate Student Symposium

On Wednesday, May 2, the Department of Psychology hosted the first annual Symposium for Boston-Area Graduate Students in Psychology. Graduate students in psychology, cognitive science, and related fields met to discuss their research at a poster session in the Curry Center Ballroom.

There was a great turnout, with more than 60 students from Northeastern, Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis, Harvard, MIT, Tufts, and UMass Boston in attendance. The event provided Boston-area psychology students with an opportunity to share their research with others in their respective fields. The posters covered a broad range of psychology areas, including behavioral neuroscience, clinical, cognition, psycholinguistics, developmental, sensation, perception, social, personality, and emotion. The good science and good citizenship of everyone in attendance made the event a great success.
