George Alverson, associate dean of academic affairs and professor of physics, received an award at the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) Week Plenary Session.

Alverson was recognized for his sustained and outstanding contribution to CMS scientific publications. He received the CMS Special Management Award at CERN on Monday, June 20, 2016.
