About George Alverson

Professor Alverson is a member of the CMS collaboration at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics. The CMS collaboration is currently taking data at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN which provides the world’s highest available energy collisions.

His specialty in recent years has been software, particularly three dimensional visualization of high energy events, but he has also done Monte Carlo simulation, data acquisition, and high-speed electronics.

He is a former member of the  collaboration at Fermilab, the L3 collaboration at CERN, and the E706 collaboration and the E369/E610/E673 collaborations at Fermilab.
