Behavioral Neuroscience co-op works as animal care intern

Meet Kei Inge, Behavioral Neuroscience 2019:

“As an aspiring veterinarian, I decided to do my coop at the Franklin Park Zoo as an animal care intern. During my internship, I help zookeepers with their routines, which can consist of preparing diets, administrating medication, cleaning up exhibits, and monitoring animals’ behavior. My experience working at the zoo has made me realize the importance of zoos in spreading awareness on wildlife conservation. The best part about my coop, aside from interacting with the animals, is that I get to be part of an organization that reminds people to be mindful of the impacts we make on our planet and the beautiful creatures we share it with.”
