Teaching Professor Melissa (Missy) McElligott receives the College of Science Excellence in Teaching award for 2015-2016! We are pleased that Missy, a graduate from our PhD in Biology Program, has returned to Northeastern and excels at instructing our students.

“Dr. McElligott coordinates and teaches several sections of a first year course, Inquiries in Biological Sciences; developed and teaches a new introductory class, Foundations of Biology; and was instrumental in developing and implementing a new laboratory class, Techniques in Biology: An Inquires Based Lab. She has participated in the Center for Advanced Teaching and Learning through the Research Faculty Scholars Program, in the National Academy of Sciences Summer Institute on Undergraduate Education, and she regularly shares her experience with other faculty whether gained through her own experience or through professional development activities.”–COS News Article
