This Fall the Mathematics Department will run a series of workshops on the theme of Mathematical Data Analysis, with focus on theory and applications in image analysis. Data Analytics is a field of growing importance in science and industry, and this workshop series is aimed at students who wish to acquire some exposure to ideas and techniques in this field. The workshops will assume some familiarity with object oriented programming, and will include an introduction to C++ , but the emphasis will be on mathematical methods and algorithms.
