Virtual Welcome Day

The College of Science would like to invite you to take part in a “virtual welcome day” Saturday, February 16, 2013. The event kicks off at 12 p.m., and will continue throughout the day, highlighting each of our programs. The schedule is posted below.

This virtual welcome day will give you a chance to learn about the college, ask questions to representatives from your major of interest, and view the campus through our video tours. You can participate through the College of Science’s UStream channel. If you are unfamiliar with UStream, we have put together some quick instructions for you to follow (see below). We hope you will join us!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USTREAM

Go to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/northeastern-university—college-of-science

If the event has not yet started, you will see a slide indicating the schedule of events for the day.

If the event has started, you will see and hear faculty from the College of Science.

On the right hand side of the screen you will see two tabs – Videos and Chat. Using the Chat section you can ask questions of the presenters.

You can ask questions using a UStream account or anonymously.

Moderators on the other end will be monitoring the incoming questions and asking them of the presenters. If your question cannot be answered immediately, we may ask you to send it to us via email in which case we will get back to you as soon as possible.
