Prof. David Budil Named Associate Dean For Research

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor David Budil as Associate Dean for Research in the College of Science (COS) at Northeastern University, effective September 1, 2011.

Professor Budil is an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, who studies the physical behavior of macromolecules.  He is an expert in the use of high-field electron spin resonance techniques that dramatically increase the dynamic and chemical information obtainable from spin-labeled polymers and biopolymers. David was also, until recently, the Director of the Biochemistry program.

In his role as Associate Dean for Research, David will work with COS faculty to increase external research funding, identify opportunities and bring together groups for multi-investigator proposals, support faculty interactions with other colleges and the university research offices, develop more support in the College for pre-award and post-award support of faculty grants, and oversee research-related activities in the College.

Please join us in congratulating Professor Budil on his new role in the College of Science!
