The recent antibiotic discovery by biology professor Slava Epstein and his colleagues has lead to worldwide interest.

Epstein is now profiled in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, also known as CMAJ.

“The discovery of a novel antibiotic is just the beginning of a wave of potential new drugs being literally unearthed through breakthroughs in molecular technology, say researchers in Canada and the United States,” states writer Carolyn Brown.
