On November 12, 2013 in the Members Room of the Library of Congress a milestone was celebrated – the affiliation of the 300th Professional Science Master’s Program.
Established in 1997 with funding from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, PSM degrees provide advanced knowledge of a science, technology, or mathematics discipline with business and professional skills such as management, communications, regulatory affairs, intellectual property, and ethics and an experiential learning component such as the graduate co-op. As of today, there are over 300 PSM programs at over 137 academic institutions worldwide.
Northeastern University has Professional Science Master’s programs in bioinformatics, biotechnology, marine biology, and biomedical nanotechnology.
