Professor David DeSteno researches emotions and how they guide decisions and behaviors. At this year’s PopTech conference, the psychology professor delivered a talk titled, “Emotional intelligence for success.” In it, he argued that our understanding on self-control, willpower, and reason are flawed and that we should look to the power of emotions for positively influencing behavior.
