I work in the Phonology and Reading Laboratory with Dr. Iris Berent. I would like to understand how human minds represent linguistic knowledge, and to find out which representations are shared across languages. My empirical work focuses specifically on phonological representations, and how these differ across the two native language modalities: speech and sign. So far, my research has used eye tracking methods to probe online phonological and morphological processing in English speakers and Deaf ASL signers.
