Calculus Field Day

Every year, students come from across Boston Public Schools to Northeastern University to attend the Bridge to Calculus Program’s one-day Calculus Field Day. The initiative was launched in April 2009 as a partnership between Northeastern and BPS’ math departments and has since become the program’s major annual outreach event. Attending students compete in teams of three in challenging and stimulating tests in Precalculus and AP calculus. Sets of brain teasers called “Activators” are also open to 9th and 10th-grade students.
