About Piper Cole

Piper is a Master’s Student in the Environmental Science & Policy Program interested in climate ocean resiliency, coastal zone management and sustainable urban planning. In addition to graduate school a Northeastern University, she interns four days a week for the multi-disciplinary urban planning and environmental consulting firm Fort Point Associates, Inc. Since joining the firm in May 2022, she has worked on urban planning and environmental permitting for various public and private institutions. Project areas include coastal resiliency, public infrastructure, clean energy deployment and institutional master planning. She focuses on preparing environmental documentation, including MEPA, MA Chapter 91 Waterways and Wetlands Protection Act. In addition to her current role, she has worked for the Salem Sound Coastwatch and used her CoastGuard Limited Masters license to launch drive for multiple yacht clubs on the Northshore of MA. Before starting her coursework at Northeastern, she completed her two bachelors of science degrees in biology and sustainable development at the University of St Andrews’22 in Scotland, United Kingdom.
