Three Seas Recreational Diving

Northeastern University offers four sections of the for-credit course, Beginning Scuba, per semester on the main campus.

EEMB 1145: Beginning Scuba

Description: Focuses on basic skin diving and scuba diving skills, with emphasis on safety. Requires lab fee. Requires ability to pass a swim test and basic comfort in the water. This course is an SDI program that can lead to certification. Students receive one credit and certificates for class and pool training. Students must schedule their open water dives on their own, with a dive shop of their choosing, to complete their open water diver certification. Additional fees may apply. Taught in Cabot pool.
