Science Connects to Innovation

The Science Connects to Innovation Program empowers undergraduate students in the sciences to develop entrepreneurial enterprises to devise solutions that can go anywhere – providing cleaner energy, eco-friendly pesticides, possible new anticancer compounds, sustainable foods, or fabricating high-tech assistive devices.

Ramp Up

Ramp Up courses are preparatory online summer courses that help incoming first-year students strengthen their grasp of essential concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics before they tackle more advanced coursework.

    This organization serves as a platform for celebrating cultural diversity on campus and in the workplace, and as a community for members to network and connect with each other.

  • Northeastern University Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society (NUSAACS)

    Help further the interest in science, with a focus in chemistry, throughout the greater Boston area.  Obtain experience in preparing and presenting technical material before chemical audiences.



    NUSAACS strives to instill a professional pride in the chemical sciences, and foster an awareness of the responsibilities and challenges facing the modern scientist.

  • American Medical Student Association

    NU AMSA offers students from all backgrounds a chance to join a community of pre-medical focused individuals like themselves. We provide helpful seminars and activities, invite speakers and collaborate with other organizations to help guide you through your journey, no matter what stage.

  • TERRA Society

    The Terra Society organizes activities that promote an appreciation and understanding of the Earth and of environmental sciences.



    We sponsor speakers and field trips that aim to broaden our knowledge of the natural word.



    Our organization is open to all students and welcomes anyone interested in the areas of geology, environmental science, and paleontology.

    The Women’s Interdisciplinary Society of Entrepreneurship (WISE) is a student-led group at Northeastern University dedicated to helping women develop an innovative mindset through interactive workshops, a thought-incubator, a venture accelerator, and mentorship pairings.

  • Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering

    ADSE (Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering) focuses on increasing the participation of underrepresented groups in academia, industry, and government.



    ADSE supports, organizes, and oversees local, graduate student-run organizations that reach out to students and scientists of all ages and backgrounds.

  • COS Student Diversity Advisory Council

    COSSDAC aims to provide support for underrepresented students in STEM. We help members academically, professionally, provide postgraduate resources and a sense of community.



    We bring the resources that exist directly to members, such as mentorship programs and inviting different offices to meetings to speak about opportunities and resources.



    COSSDAC believes in giving back to the community by having science enrichment programs to get high school students into science and learn about the disparities that exist in our communities.

    The Marine Biology Club strives to foster and engage students with interests in marine biology, environmental science, ecology, evolution, and behavior by providing educational, recreational, and professional opportunities in correlation with the Marine Science Center.

    The END Initiative is a group of Northeastern University students on a mission to see the END of Neglected Diseases.

    We raise funds, advocate for change, and bring awareness to our local community in an effort to bring about the eradication of these neglected diseases.

    We support Deworm the World, a global health organization that provides effective help for global communities and funds initiatives to bring lasting change to these communities.

  • Northeastern’s Student Chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)

    Northeastern’s AWM chapter fosters a communal environment within the math department which empowers women and other underrepresented gender identities in STEM to conduct research, experience co-op, study abroad, and more.



    The core of our work involves the development of events and workshops that aim to support chapter members in fulfilling their academic and professional goals.
