Ticks creep into the city, bringing Lyme disease with them

Ticks are no longer only dwellers of the deep forest—they can be found in cities, too, said University Distinguished Professor Kim Lewis at Northeastern. Northeastern and GlaxoSmithKline launch joint experiential PhD program
Northeastern has partnered with global pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline to launch a first-of-its-kind, joint experiential PhD program. Employees of GSK who enroll in the program will conduct pharmaceutical research projects co-developed by the company and Northeastern, and GSK will cover the tuition costs of the program as well as all the research expenses.

Northeastern’s Biopharmaceutical Analysis Training Lab recognized as international training partner
Northeastern's Biopharmaceutical Analysis Training Lab was just named a training partner for the International Council for Harmonization (ICH), an organization which creates standardized guidelines for drug regulation processes in countries around the world. Professor and Director of the BATL Jared Auclair led the first pilot training session in October on Quality 1 stability guidelines for protein and small molecule stability.
