What if people from different cultures and economic backgrounds have different brain wiring?

For decades, scientists have assumed that the brain circuitry for social behavior has developed over millions of years of evolution and is hardwired at birth. Based on this view of human development, we all start life with the same basic brain wiring and our uniqueness is built upon that common biological foundation.

James Monaghan had just started teaching a class, when the Provost came in and presented him Northeastern University's University Excellence in Teaching Award. "I had no idea it was coming," said Monaghan. "It's the coolest thing that they actually came into class!"

"This club is for anyone in biology, psychology, behavioral neuroscience, criminal justice, or any major if you're interested in aspects of forensic science and other parts of criminology that aren't offered at Northeastern," said Talemal. "And it's also for people who are just interested in watching and talking about some great criminal television."
