Patrick Kearns earned his PhD in Marine and Environmental Science from Northeastern University, where he trained in the laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Bowen. His research focuses on environmental and host-associated microbiomes, using genomic and culture-based approaches. Prior to joining Northeastern University as teaching faculty, Dr. Kearns was a faculty member at UMass Boston and Fisher College.
