About Carol Hannam
Dr. Hannam brings extensive research, teaching, and academic leadership experience, as well as proficiency in developing research collaborations with key industry partners for experiential learning. She was the inaugural program coordinator for the Master of Biotechnology program at the University of Guelph and was a Professor of Biology at Fanshawe College. She spent over 10 years as a consultant with Synthesis Agri-Food Network, working with industry associations and government clients on agri-food research priorities.
Dr. Hannam received a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph and has over 15 years of experience in a variety of academic and industry roles. Carol completed a BSc in biochemistry at the University of Guelph and an MSc in biochemistry at Western University. Her interests include plant biotechnology and agri-food innovations that support sustainable food systems.
