About Ana Otero
Dr. Ana Otero is an Associate Teaching Professor in Biology. She earned a DVM and a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology at University of Leon in Spain.
During her research career she worked at St. Jude’s Children Hospital in cancer molecular biology.
Before taking a faculty position at Northeastern, she was a Senior Lecturer at Emmanuel College, the Animal Facility Director and the Chair of the IACUC. Dr. Otero’s teaching has been recognized with a Fulbright Senior Scholarship in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
