Science Connects to Innovation Program

The Science Connects to Innovation program empowers undergraduate science students to create entrepreneurial solutions, spanning cleaner energy, eco-friendly pesticides, potential anticancer compounds, sustainable foods, and high-tech assistive devices.

Science Connects to Innovation aims to inspire College of Science students to engage with Northeastern’s venture creation network, offering support for recognizing and pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities. The program also provides essential resources for translating their ideas into ventures, encompassing prototyping, marketing, and more.

College of Science Entrepreneurship Workshop

Over 30 students participated in the 3nd annual Entrepreneurship Workshop at the Warren Conference Center on July 25, 2025, building key leadership, communication, and practical skills as well as inspiration to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors.

Ada AI Chatbot

In this Entrepreneurship Speakers Series talk, Dr. Abby Williams, Dr. Nik Brown, and Dev Shah presented Ada, an AI chatbot they designed to assist students with Calculus. Ada provides on-demand support to help students navigate complex mathematical concepts, answering questions and offering explanations tailored to their needs.

Husky Startup Challenge

Each semester, the Husky Startup Challenge guides student entrepreneurs through boot camps focused on venture creation—from ideation to prototyping. The program culminates in Demo Day, where founders pitch their ideas in two-minute presentations to a live audience.

In fall 2023, Alexis Musaelyan-Blackmon, a data science and biology student won first place and a cash prize of $4,500 for her business pitch of Exploro—an online platform to help academic researchers recruit participants for their studies.
