    Marine Evolutionary Genomics Lab

Marine Evolutionary Genomics Lab (Gatins Lab) Our lab uses genomic tools to better understand how ecological and evolutionary processes shape biodiversity patterns in marine systems. Our current research focuses on three main areas: genetic connectivity in marine fishes, genomic signatures speciation and hybridization, and the impact of climate-driven range expansions in marine organisms. As a…

    Copos Laboratory

The Copos Lab is broadly interested in mathematical biology of the cell. They are a group of interdisciplinary scientists that develop models and new mathematical tools to tease apart the “internal machinery” of a living cell. Their work combines mechanics-based mathematical modeling, numerical and computational methods, image-based analysis and inference, and collaborations with experimentalists.

  • Altin-Yavuzarslan Engineered Living Systems Lab

The Altin-Yavuzarslan Engineered Living Systems Lab focuses on advanced biomanufacturing and material research. The lab designs engineered living materials (ELM) and 3D prints them to create functional form factors. We develop biocompatible polymers for ELM formulations and innovative encapsulation strategies for ELM design. Our goal is to fabricate smart ELM-based objects for on-demand production, sustainable…

    Okeke Laboratory

Okeke Lab investigates the molecular mechanisms associated with the inflammatory response of innate immune cells with a focus on neutrophils and macrophages. Specifically, we are interested in pathways associated with the release of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and the contribution of NETs to different diseased states including diseases of the central nervous system.
