My research focuses on developing high throughput platforms for cultivation/isolation hard-to-culture environmental bacteria, and screening their diverse secondary metabolites for novel natural product antibiotics. In Lewis lab, I have been working on targeted bacteria cultivation and discovery of natural products selectively against Gram-negative pathogens. Currently, I have several novel compounds selectively against Pseudomonas strains under development.
