As a fellow graduate of the Biotechnology Program, Madelyn is eager to help current students succeed and help them find their own path in the industry. She is passionate about eliminating barriers for young professionals during their co-op/job hunting process, and providing them with as many career options as possible to help make an educated decision about their path forward. During her time as a student, she held a number of internships at Shire and Alnylam that helped her carve out her own passions and gain a better understanding of the biotechnology industry as a whole. She has stayed involved with the Biotech program over the years by both mentoring former students in their co-op search, and participating in Biotech futures day held at the university for local high school students to tour and learn about the program.
Her current primary interests are in alliance management, project management, process improvements at both a project and program level, and data visualization. She current works at Verge Genomics as an Alliance and Program Manager, helping to facilitate external partnerships with large pharmaceutical companies and managing the progress of Verge’s internal programs as well. She previous held a role at Foundation Medicine as a project manager, where she helped project teams execute clinical and analytical studies with external pharmaceutical partners in order to achieve sPMA approval from the FDA on CDx indications.
