Bianca Braun, originally from Germany, moved to the US as an Au Pair before pursuing her undergraduate studies. She was awarded the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, which fully funded her education. Braun earned an Honors Associate’s Degree from Westchester Community College before transferring to Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology in 2023.
She is now a Research Coordinator for both the Speech, Hearing, and Communication Lab and the Interdisciplinary Health, Body Composition, and Neuroscience Lab at Northeastern University’s Center for Cognitive and Brain Health. Passionate about how physical activity, exercise, and fitness relate to emotion regulation and other transdiagnostic mechanisms underlying developmental psychopathology, she is applying to Clinical Psychology PhD programs to further this research. In her free time, Bianca enjoys working out and ‘extreme hiking,’ with a highlight being the ‘stairway to heaven’ in Hawai’i.
