Annabel Hughes is a PhD students in marine and environmental sciences working in the Gatins Lab. She earned her B.A. in marine science from Boston University in 2023. Hughes is interested in the evolutionary forces driving biodiversity in our oceans and how we classify and protect this diversity. She hopes to use genomics tools to explore modes of speciation and hybridization in Holacanthus angelfishes.
