Dr. Ankita Sarkar is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Physics at Northeastern University. She specializes in physics education and computational biophysics research. She is committed to creating inclusive, engaging, and intellectually stimulating learning experiences for her students. Her research expertise includes pH-dependent biomolecular processes and the statistical physics of living systems.

Dr. Sarkar earned her B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. in Physics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Florida, Gainesville. Before joining Northeastern, she was a Marie Curie Experienced Researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology and a Research Associate at Harvard Medical School.
