Dr. Ahmed Shabana is a part-time lecturer in MS Biotechnology program at Northeastern University. He received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Temple University, School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA, under the supervision of Prof. Marc AIlies, where he studied nanomedicine for drug and gene delivery.

After completing his PhD, he did a two year of postdoctoral training at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, under the supervision of Prof. Efie Kokkoli. There he worked on formulation development of lipid-based nanoparticles and hydrogels for the delivery of small molecules and nucleic acids. Currently, he works as a Senior Scientist at Sanofi.
