RAISE: Working with communities to reduce flood risk and increase resilience

This project addresses the $500 billion annual U.S. flood damage by combining scientific data with community knowledge to predict and communicate flood risks. Researchers will collaborate with communities to analyze past flood responses, develop decision-support tools, and visualize local flooding scenarios. The initiative aims to improve community resilience through better understanding of local flood drivers and enhanced planning for future events under various scenarios.
