CAREER: Exploring the dark sector with state-of-the-art galaxy surveys

The Vera C. Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) and the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will map cosmic structure to incredible depth, shedding light on dark energy and dark matter, perhaps the most compelling mysteries in modern physics. This CAREER award will develop modeling and simulation methodology, including AI/ML-acceleration, to understand how the galaxies we observe connect to the underlying structure. This work will enable us to take full advantage of these exciting new data sets to probe fundamental physics and the cosmological model.
