Robust ultra-high sensitivity proteomic technologies for limited samples
The proposed research will be focused on technology development for ultra-high sensitivity deep proteomic, glycomic, and spatial multiomic analysis of limited biological and clinical samples. Comprehensive molecular characterization of such samples at the level of digested proteins, released glycans, intact proteoforms, native non-covalent protein complexes, and protein interactions is presently an insurmountable challenge in bioanalytical research. The proposed technology offers an unprecedented opportunity for expanding our knowledge of molecular mechanisms of disease processes and identifying new paths toward the discovery of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers using minuscule sample amounts.
